I had the pleasure of working with director/producer/writer Eddie Conna on the feature "Alien Hunger". I've been in Show Business for 40 years having starred and guest starred in many TV series and movies and I have rarely met such an intelligent, capable young director with so many assets and talents. From understanding the need of balancing the commercial and artistic aspects of a film to organizing a highly efficient set, getting the best performances out of his actors and creating an innovative new business model for financing and filming movies I have rarely met a director who so fully understands and grasps the complex mechanics of putting successful movies together. I would work with Eddie anytime and anywhere and I highly recommend him to any company that wants to get the biggest bang for their buck and get who I consider to be one of the most talented and gifted director/writer/producers in the business today.
Richard Hatch, actor, Battlestar Galactica, Alien Hunger.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Eddie on three feature films. ("Hero of the Day", "Alien Hunger", "Orbs") As a working film composer, the success of my work completely depends on my relationship with the director. I believe a successful director is one who can offer guidance and a clear vision of where the project needs to go, while at the same time allowing enough space for their creatives to do their jobs properly. This allows me, as the composer, to achieve the highest level of success. Working with Eddie has been one of my most successful professional collaborations. He treats people with respect and is incredibly professional. I am very proud of the work we’ve done together and look forward to working with him in the future. He has a great attitude and his commitment to his craft is very inspiring.
-Dave Holden, Film Composer (The Dark Knight, Hero of the Day, The Way of Snow, Alien Hunger, The Removed, Gears of War 3)
It is rare to find a director who can balance between the two seemingly opposing worlds of the creative and the business side of making a film. It is a delicate dance that must be performed with the utmost grace and simultaneous strength, where the performance is memorable but after the last curtain call, the producer can smile knowing that the director came in on budget and on time. Eddie does this dance rather well.
